Tuesdays With Dorie OLD SCHOOL – Gooey Chocolate Cakes

Perhaps better known as “molten chocolate cakes,” these are extremely simple small chocolate treats filled with more chocolate.  The primary ingredient, by weight, is chocolate.  You’d better like chocolate.

The recipe very adamantly calls for “high quality bittersweet chocolate,” which means as always that I’ll use generic-brand chocolate chips.

As you can see, the perfect compliment to molten chocolate cakes is chocolate syrup.  Much to my surprise, I actually own chocolate syrup for some reason – and it’s not even expired!
